The Defender Pro-Tec is a heavy-duty key safe meeting Police Recognised Standards and tested to LPS 1175 Issue 8. Its 12 easy-press buttons offer up to 4,000 code combinations, with a recommended 4-6 digit entry for maximum security. The combination code used is recommended to be anywhere between 4 and 6 digits, for maximum security.
The Defender Pro-TEC can hold up to 10 keys, which features an internal hook to hang keys onto safely.
The weatherproof rubber cover features a handy drilling template, including ready-made guide holes allowing marking up without holding the heavy safe.
To use the thunderbolts, drill a hole to a depth of 50mm, using a 5mm drill bit, then tighten the head with an 8mm socket.

Quality of product seems good and sturdy. Instructions for installation and use were good and clear and I had no difficulty with mounting it on a wall. My advice, just follow the instructions step by step and don’t take shortcuts. The only negative is the quality of the plastic housing that provided weatherproof cover. The material is okay but flimsier than I’d expected. Hopefully, the catch will withstand regular use.

Purchased a Defender Pro-TEC Key Safe.
It’s a much better built product than the one it replaced (one of those with four spinning dials that apparently are very easily accessible…)
Delivery was speedy and the product was easy to install with the self-tapping bolts (they just screw straight into the brick, when you drill a 5mm diameter hole!)
The only slight downside compared to the cheap models is you can’t use a number twice. However there are numbers 0 to 9 and an A and B. So it’s pretty flexible with lots of combinations possible.
