The Defender DX-500 outdoor sensor has a detection range of 5-7m, transmitting an alert back to the indoor receiver.

Mount the PIR between 3 to 4ft above the ground on a sturdy surface, for example, a wall, wooden post or a tree.
Up to 20 sensors can be paired with one receiver, thus protecting all entry points to a property.
